About Us

The Department admits two sets of candidates at each admission cycle. The first sets of candidates are those that are admitted for a four year programme, while the second set is for three years. To be eligible for an award of any of the degree available in the Department of Science Education, a candidate must:

  • (a) earn at least 120 Credits including all compulsory courses throughout 4 years degree programme

(b) earn at least 90 Credits including all compulsory courses throughout a 3 years degree programme

  • earn at least  25 Credits in the 1st Major (i.e education courses between 300 and 400 levels of any degree programmes)
  • Earn at least 25 Credits in the 2nd Major (i.e the major teaching subjects) between 300 and 400 levels of any of the degree programmes
  • Obtain a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 1.50
