Dr. Akanmu Morenikeji Alex

Alex Morenikeji AKANMU is a Mathematics Educator and Senior Faculty member. He is a registered teacher (MTRCN), member of the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN), Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN); Science Association of Nigeria (SAN) and Institute of Planning (IPN), Nigeria (Faculty: Academic Planning) among others. Akanmu has earned a number of awards and prizes notable amongwhich are Osun State Cooperative College Best Graduating Student; the University of Ilorin Varsity Leadership Award. He was a member of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Expanded Executive Committee – University of Ilorin Chapter from 2013- 2015 and, later Assistant Secretary-General of the Union, 2016 – 2018. He served as Secretary-General – Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) – University of Ilorin Chapter, 2018 – 2021. He was the Chief Examiner, National Teachers’ Institute (Mathematics) Bachelor’s Degree programme, 2015 -2018. He is currently the Postgraduate Departmental Seminar Coordinator, Managing Editor of the Journal of Curriculum and Instruction, Faculty of Education Representative – Communications Committee, the immediate past Sub -Dean of Student Affairs of the University of Ilorin among others. He has authored and co-authored research articles in reputable local, national and international outlets.
