Kanu, Abed had his primary education at College Primary School, Oko and attended Community Secondary School, Ndiowu for the junior secondary school and part of the senior secondary education (SS1 and SS2) all in Anambra State. The other part of the senior secondary education (SS3) was completed at Government Secondary School, Karu, FCT, Abuja where he also sat the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations and obtained the WASSC in 1995. His first degree was in Electrical Engineering and obtained a B.Eng from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka completed in 2002. He did a post- graduate diploma in science education with the University of Abuja and obtained PGDE in 2008. His Master’s in science education (MED) was obtained from Nasarawa State University, Keffi in 2014. The Doctoral thesis in science education was successfully defended in 2019 leading to the award of PhD in Science Education. He worked as a part-time Facilitator with the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI), Karu Study Centre, Abuja and also an online External Facilitator, Course Reviewer and Examiner in Science Education courses with National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Abuja before his appointment as a tenured lecturer with the Department of Science Education, University of Ilorin from late 2023 till date. He has published articles in reputable journals.
