Bashirat Titilope Imam is a Lecturer I in the Department of Science Education at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She holds a Ph.D. in Science Education with a specialization in Chemistry from the same institution. She has served as Departmental Representative in the Faculty Teaching Practice Committee, Level Adviser, Assistant Postgraduate Coordinator and Project Coordinator in the Department. She is currently the Faculty Representative in the Faculty of Physical Sciences and the Examination Coordinator for the Department. Her research agenda focuses on enhancing students’ conceptual understanding of chemistry, conducting classroom-based investigations in chemistry education, and exploring the pedagogical integration of technology in chemistry instruction. Dr. Imam has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in reputable national and international journals and has presented her research at leading academic conferences across Africa. She is a member of several professional associations, including the South African Association for Research in Mathematics, Science and Technology Education (SAARMSTE), the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). Her academic trajectory underscores a sustained commitment to advancing the quality of chemistry education through evidence-based instructional strategies and teacher professional development.
